Quality Assurance Scheme
Organisations in receipt of council grant funding have previously been required to
complete SMAR returns. These have allowed the Council to report to elected members
on the benefits achieved through the grant allocations. Through the Compact Sub Group
on funding, a new QA system has been developed which is a tool to assist organisations
in planning, reflecting and progressing their work rather than purely for reporting
purposes.
The new QA system will be used this year, for all organisations which received in excess
of £10,000 grants from The City of Edinburgh Council over the financial year 2008/9
