Voluntary Organisations in Leith Together
Welcome to VOLT
These are our aims:
1. To enable the voluntary sector in Leith to have a collective voice.
2. To support each other and contribute to the development of an infrastructure for voluntary organisations providing services in Leith. Example of this might be jointly organise training opportunities, or create more effective communication structures.
3. To ensure effective collective representation for the voluntary section in Leith on external bodies e.g. ROA working party and steering group.
4. To co-ordinate the work of the voluntary sector in Leith
5. To learn from each other
6. To utilise and communicate the unique strengths of the voluntary sector.
7. To provide an objective overview of the interface between the voluntary sector and the statutory sector in Leith.
