Volunteering Strategy

Inspiring Edinburgh’s Volunteers – Building on Success –Edinburgh’s Volunteering Strategy for 2012-17

This strategy focuses on the range of Edinburgh agencies – public, private and third sector – to ensure that more people, from a more diverse range of backgrounds, are enabled to volunteer; and that when they do volunteer, the experience is rewarding both for the individual and for the volunteer involving organisation.

The strategy document includes an Action Plan which draws on key partners and the wider community of Volunteer Involving Organisations, to deliver on tasks which support the strategy.

Jean is also Secretariat for iGIVE (implementation Group, Inspiring Volunteers – Edinburgh) who have jointly taken responsibility for bringing the Strategy to this point, and who will take joint responsibility for delivering against the Action Plan.
