Edinburgh Integration Joint Board Innovation Fund 2020-2022

Applications for the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (IJB) Innovation Fund for 2020 – 2022 is now open. 

Key Details:

What is the Grant for?The purpose of the Innovation Fund is to encourage creative and innovative ideas to tackle and progress the priorities of the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (EIJB). The fund is looking to identify and develop new models of service delivery which may help to reduce pressures in the Health and Social Care System for adult services. The fund will be used to test and learn from new approaches and to promote collaboration across the third sector.

Who can apply? Your organisation must be constituted and not-for-profit.

Grant Amounts: The fund has a total of £300,000 to be allocated over a two year period. There is no maximum or minimum grant request amount.

Grant Length: Any period between a few months and two years.

Briefing Sessions: Communities and Families 3rd Party Grants

Dates and times for the Briefing Sessions for the Communities & Families 3rd Party Grants Programme 2020-23 are now confirmed.  

Please book one session if you wish to attend as numbers are limited.  To book a place, please click on the links below.  

Please note that only one applicant from each organisation can attend and bookings are accepted on a first come first served basis.

The five dates, venues and times available are as follows:

Monday 14 October 2019 – 9.30am – 11am.

Edinburgh: A Good Place to Live?

Join Edinburgh’s Compact Partnership as we discuss what makes a ‘Good Place to Live’ and what Edinburgh needs to achieve this.

The Partnership works towards Edinburgh’s Community Plan which has three priorities for the City: 

  • enough money to live on
  • access to work, learning and training
  • a good place to live.

We are hosting an event on 30th January  looking at one of these priorities in more depth: A Good Place to Live.

We have invited several community groups and voluntary organisations to deliver short presentations on what ‘A Good Place to Live’ means to them in the context of Edinburgh.

We wish to invite anyone who works in the arts, communities, social care, health or social justice to come along, hear from others and share their own views on what ‘A Good Place to Live’ looks like for Edinburgh.

Update to Communities & Families 3rd Party Grants Programme

There has been an increase in the volume of applicants for Communities & Families 3rd Party Grants Programme 2020-23 this year.

We would like to remind you that Commissioning staff do not have the capacity to individually contact organisations to chase up parts of your application, neither are staff permitted to alter, edit or amend applications on behalf of your organisation.

As explained in the briefing sessions, all applications will be taken as seen.

If you are missing key parts of the application, either A, B, C or D, your application will be marked as incomplete and cannot be assessed.

If you are applying for 2 or more funding priorities, please note, one individual part B is required for each funding priority.

Please do NOT include 2 or more funding priority details on one singular Part B sheet.

If you have already submitted your application, and realise you have missed vital parts, we urge you to resubmit an application, ensuring ALL relevant parts A, B, C & D for each funding priority are submitted, in order that your application is Complete.

Please use the checklist to check you have everything required before submitting. 

We would remind you that the application Deadline is 12noon – Friday 22nd November, we will not be accepting applications after this time.

 

 

No One Left Behind – Stage 1 Provision

City of Edinburgh Council’s Economic Development department is now accepting applications to their No One Left Behind (NOLB) Stage 1 Provision grant programme. Awards will be made for up to 3 years subject to Scottish Government funding.

Applications are invited for provision of services which will support people at the earliest stage of the pipeline aged 16-19 (or 26 for those with multiple barriers as stated in the NOLB Emerging Best Practice Guide).

A briefing session for bidders will be held, offering the chance to hear from City of Edinburgh Council and Capital City Partnership on the application process. This session will take place on Monday 18th November at 10am and will be held at Norton Park Conference Centre, 57 Albion Rd, Edinburgh EH7 5QY. To regiter interest in the session, please contact craig.dutton@capitalcitypartnership.org.

Completed applications must be emailed to craig.dutton@capitalcitypartnership.org by NOON, Thursday 5th December. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Update to Communities & Families Grants Programme 2020-2023

*Please note that the Part B Application Form for the Grants Programme has been updated on the relevant page here.*

There have been concerns raised at the briefing sessions held about the word limits on some of the questions in the application. To take into account these concerns we have decided to raise the word limit on the first two questions. This means that in Application Form Part B;

  • Question 1.1 now has a word limit of 750 words (was 500)
  • Question 1.2 now has a word limit of 750 words (was 500)

Please note that the word limits on all the other questions remain as they were. We hope that you will find this word limit increase helpful.

Launch of the 4th Social Enterprise Strategy for Edinburgh

a shared strategy for the Edinburgh Social Enterprise ecosystem.

The 4th Social Enterprise Strategy for Edinburgh is developed in partnership with social enterprises, public, private, education and third sectors. The Social Enterprise Strategy Implementation Group (SESIG) has been working for the past year on developing the strategy, which aims to be inclusive and supportive of a wide range of organisations within the wider social economy, with a focus towards those who aspire to achieve SE code compliance.

Building on previous strategies, the key objectives are to continue to grow the social enterprise community; increase the sustainability of organisations and the community; and evidence how this community adds value and makes a difference to social and economic outcomes in the city. This will be achieved through working with the wide range of stakeholders who make up the social enterprise in Edinburgh.
