The Edinburgh Partnership works to the Community Plan 2018 – 2028 (Local Outcome Improvement Plan).
The plan sets out the City’s commitment to work together with communities to reduce poverty and inequality within the city. These are issues that can only be tackled by working together.
The plan is based on feedback from communities on the issues they face and sets out three priorities:
- enough money to live on
- access to work, learning and training
- a good place to live.
The plan will develop over the next ten years to reflect the changing needs of the communities and the progress that is made in achieving the outcomes.
The Compact Partnership is one of the Strategic Partnerships within the Edinburgh Partnership Family which contributes to these outcomes.
Members of the Compact Partnership work across the Edinburgh Partnership Family to champion the role of the Third Sector across the City, recognising that the Third Sector can contribute outcomes in the Community Plan.
The Compact Partnership Strategy will contribute to the Community Planning outcomes and strategic priorities of the City, aiming to reduce inequality, create active resilient communities and develop a further enabled Third Sector.
